boohoo introduces their SS16 collection – a fresh, trend led anthology of next year’s hottest trends. Ideal for the early whispers of spring, Nautical from boohoo has a casual focus with a strong denim theme throughout.

Stripes are key and revived in Breton, rainbow and block colours for the Resort season. Seaside motifs add a fun element, rope lacing and bib fronts are also key details that compliment this range. Continuing a heavy denim presence, Utility updates the wardrobe staple with textured washes, exaggerated fastenings and raw edges in feminine silhouettes. Prints are key with the use distorted animal and camo textiles. Standout elements include sheen finishes, rouching and peek-a-boo lacing in a palette of rich browns, olives, ecru and stone.

As we move through the season, silhouettes become fluid and less defined to present Bohemia, a boho inspired range with sheer layered floral pieces and soft pastel prints that offer a new take on relaxed glamour. Light weight lace fabrics and trims add a modern dimension to Victoriana influences which filter through the collection. Highlights include high ruffle necks, volume sleeves and pussy bow blouses. Hot Tropics is a riot of colour beneath a broad canopy of tropical prints and graphics. Creating a chaotic carnival of holiday must-haves for day and evening, the range’s hero pieces include frill culotte jumpsuits, ruffle co-ords and knotted tee dresses.

Drenched in teen spirit, The 90’s collection layers voluminous soft tailoring with crop shirts, hardware features and boxy shapes. Attitude is essential with edgy street wear inspired looks, such as lion head print sets, strap detailing and graphic cutout panels.

Samurai infuses angular cuts and minimalist separates with a dose of femininity through shape accentuating detailing, such as waist cinching Obi belts and halter necklines, plus delicate oriental patterns across sheer layers to echo the eastern influence. Kimono sleeve jumpsuits, tie back blouses structured Bardot dresses come in primary colours to continue the stripped back feel.
No summer would be complete without a kaleidoscope of sun-bleached candy colours, and Sherbet Pastels is a beautiful snapshot of retro glamour across pearl, mandarin, peach and coral tones, inspired by the exaggerated luxury of the 1950’s. Vintage floral and oversized gingham prints catch the eye, whilst sweetheart necklines and scallop hems provide a sultry update on classic pieces which remain staples due to their versatility and timeless feel.
