Luxury womenswear brand WtR captures the contrast between structure and spontaneity, fusing form and function to create versatile pieces with purpose for real women. Inspired by their customer, whom travels and explores the world, WtR focus each season on a particular destination; marrying the local aesthetic and colour palettes with classical design elements, it is this collaborative aesthetic that carries into the brands first wholesale season for SS16.

“Amsterdam, is a city of sin, but in truth it is a city of freedom. And in freedom, most people find sin” – John Green from The Fault in Our Stars

Inspired by the Amsterdam, and John Green’s romanticised observation of the true spirit of the city, WtR’s SS16 collection draws elements from its murky soul to create a powerful collection that resonates, shocks, inspires and frees. With hints of boudoir spice and overtones of passion, liberation and freedom, the collection theme is powerful and feminine with Warrior women as the perfect muse. Seeking solace in the feminine and provocative details of intimate wear, the range features sensual sheer fabrics, thin straps, dipped necklines and lingerie silhouettes. As with every collection, Artisan Sinner flirts with detail and teases with a provocative and heady mix of textures.

With a strong focus on luxurious materials and textures, the collection uses a broad mixture of natural, untamed finishes, fed by blends of silk, linen and hemp, while tactile surfaces are created with crepe, jacquard and open knits. The colour pallet is foggy and brooding, with powdery and matte tones of nude, blush and grey with discrete metallic effects and hints of barely-there transparency in mint. The deeper undertones of the collection are provided by the current, jet black and ice white shades.

WtR, which stands for “wear the robe”; embraces conceptual construction, premium materials and a focus on quality. WtR is an effortless brand for powerful women with discerning and sophisticated tastes. The collection is made up of unique pieces including dresses, shirts, trousers, skirts and knits. Each embraces the female form, never straying from WtR’s promise to create clothes that the wearer fits in and feels strong in, coupling femininity and elegance with striking aesthetics.

We love the brand, we hope you love it too!
