Commendable. In this case Plural.
And those are they who keep our eyes lusting over explorative styling, fresh and bold yet truly deserving for elevating fashion in Britain.
As London Fashion Week AW15 approaches our doorstep, the doorstep maybe equivalent to a few trips to Sydney and back, nevertheless next month isn’t too far around the corner and inevitably time is moving fast, I’ve been peeling eyes (ouch) around key features and hand in hand NEWGEN designers set to brace us with their style & funk. As always, new generation designers do get the awesome opportunity to showcase their delights with dear attention and I’ve been taking a closer look at some to attend for, or better still, their originality with commendable design.
All hail to the world of fashion, a world that keeps all things imaginative alive. A world cyclical yet true to itself, with few boundaries and art trifold. Just all hail.
So yes. Back to the point. Well that is if I was off point. I do tend to do that from time to time.
Turning somewhat normcore over recent months means the exercising of adventurous attire has been tamed a little. Poignant to say however, that with AW15 #lfw coming right up, not a lot by way of vision is going to go a miss.
Once again, newer designers will be getting the spotlight due. Ok yes so I’ve kind of already said that.
Who are they you might ask? Or not. I think they’re worth shouting about anyhow. Correction; writing about. Yes. That’s it.
So here goes. Not forgetting that shouting about London’s Fashion Week is all rage at this point in time. The all-encompassing few days that cover all you need to know in London’s Fashion world & homeland designer attributes that quite frankly are showing to grow and grow.
Two words, jointly 6 syllables. Brazilian born London based L U C A S N A S C I M E N T O. I’ve a serious liking to the dimensions that he adds to his collections. Careful consideration into textures and geometry but silhouettes adhering to perfection, taking colour blocking chic to separate level. Perfectly picked hues teamed together and he just gets better season after season. From knits to pleats to bold lines, yet seamless. Most loved element for me is that his style is distinctive, and oh I can’t, just can’t wait to see what he has lined up come next month.

Who else? Fashion loving Frenchie FauStinE StEinMetz studied at Central St Martins and it shows every bit. For the love of denim, I mean who doesn’t have love for the archaic weave of this wonder? Loud the collection may be, the consideration and attention to detail brings about denim Life. Bold and overstated, perfect for as Faustine says in her own words, filling a gap in the market, between what’s available to buy vs the image of those very garments. Excited to see what artisan twists Faustine brings about for AW15. Quite frankly, her garments scream skill.
Faustine Steinmetz LFW SS15
British based Ashley William’s. Who’s she you might ask? Print queen is perfectly apt. The originality behind her collections are entirely commendable. Never mind that, they’re actually super cool. I’m quite a fan of the vintage element that her collections shine through. One good piece teamed with a classic pair of jeans is sufficient. Her collection allows you to do that. Part of Fashion East for AW15, where will she take it next?
